Do you or members of your household SUFFER from any skin conditions or asthma?.Are YOU sick of the smell of chlorine in your water?.Is a mains water filter worth it and do they work? We recommend a Doby whole house water filter if you have a 'closed water system'. It's generally recommended that if your house has an 'open water system' then one or more Moby cold water tap filters will be the most beneficial or efficient to install. We use the term ' whole house water filter' when we talk about a filter system that is plumbed into your cold water supply just after the stop cock and will treat all water from every tap in your house, including the water that goes through your boiler. Mains water filters tend to be smaller units such as our Moby range. We prefer to use the term ' mains water filter' for filter systems that treat the cold water coming from your kitchen tap only. These terms are often used interchangeably. When doing your research you may come across the terms 'mains water filter' and 'whole house water filter'. What's the difference between a mains water filter and whole house water filter? If you are unsure about what mains water filter you need and would like some advice, please call us on 01352 838 281 or send a message. If you have a private water supply, your requirements will be different so please take a look at our Private Water filters page. Our whole house water filters are suitable for mains water supplies only. They provide your household with filtered water in your kitchen and at other taps throughout your house should you want it for example your bathroom or utility room.

Mains water filters and whole house water filters are plumbed in to the rising main where water enters your house.
